Biography, About

  Jack Carmody grew up in Atlanta, GA with his parents and younger sister. He graduated from Presbyterian College in 2003, double majoring in Business and Christian Education. It was during this time that Jack committed his life to Jesus Christ. From there he moved to Greenwood, SC, where he became the Director of Youth Ministries at Main Street Methodist Church. It was in Greenwood that Jack met his future wife Carrie, and the two married in 2006. In 2007 they made the transition to St. Louis to attend Covenant Theological Seminary. Jack graduated cum laude in 2010, with a Master of Divinity degree.

In October of 2010, Jack became the Youth Pastor at Chapin Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Chapin, SC.  In 2011, Jack became an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America. In 2012, he began his military career, as he was commissioned into the United States Navy Reserve as a Chaplain. In 2013, Jack transitioned to the role of Family Pastor at Chapin Presbyterian, where he oversaw children, youth, and adult ministry.

In 2018, Jack began to feel a call to further his education in the area of counseling. He enrolled part-time in Liberty University’s counseling program. In January of 2019, Jack resigned from Chapin Presbyterian in order to pursue the degree full-time. In September of 2020, Jack graduated from with a Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling. Later that year, Jack opened up his counseling practice. He also made the transition from the Navy into the North Carolina Air National Guard.
